1.        CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR DISTRICT GOVERNOR NOMINEE       
Call for nominations  for the position of District Governor for 2018/19.
You may like to nominate, or you may like to suggest a fellow Rotarian from the District you feel has all the attributes and would make a fine District Governor. This important request requires your personal attention and action as soon as possible as nominations close on 31st March 2016.

4.         International Women's Day Breakfast
Wednesday 2nd March – Exhibition Hall, National Wine Centre, North Terrace, Adelaide.  Always a great start to the day. Book now!

5.          ShelterBox - Display at WOMADelaide
In March, we are hosting a ShelterBox tent and display at the WOMADelaide music and arts festival held over four days from 11th to 14th of March in picturesque Botanic Park.  Around 20,000 people visit the festival daily.  This is a great opportunity to bring Rotary’s Humanitarian work to all of them.  Volunteers are needed.  Please contact Greg Love (District 9520 ShelterBox Representative) greg.love@adam.com  or phone  041 240 517.

Members' Corner      

Chairman: Meet/greet speaker for the meeting; introduce and thank speaker. Preparation:- find details about  the speaker prior to the meeting.
Attendance: Set up reception table (attendance sheet; members list – re -payments; guest welcome sheet; money; wine raffle sheet); register member payments/ apologies/ guests.
Hosting: Set up name badges display; welcome all at the door; ensure speaker and guests are introduced to appropriate persons.
Furniture: Flags; banner display; raffle balls; collection boxes; Rotary theme banner; gong and hammer; lectern position before and returned after the meeting. Computer set up – Connect to projector. Switch on. Hold function key & press F5 twice.
Invocation: Recite Rotary or other invocation relating to Rotary and fellowship.
Bottles/cans: Collect bags of bottles/cans at meeting and take to recycle centre for refund, pass refund and empty bags to David Rowe at next meeting.
Members’ Corner: write for the Newsletter on a topic of your choice, particularly during the 3 weeks you appear here on the roster, but also anytime you have something to say.
Rotaract, Church, Bread roster: Roster is for the Sunday/Monday after the meeting date.
Rotaract: Meets alternate Mondays at 6pm (for a 630pm start) at the General Havelock Hotel in Hutt Street.
Church: Sundays, 5.30pm at Pilgrim Uniting Church, 12 Flinders St (Park via boom gate in Flinders St. from 5pm).
Bread: Sundays, meet outside Romeo's, North Adelaide at 4:45pm

Members rostered for Thursday morning duty are asked to be in attendance by 6.45am

All arrivals in heaven have to go through a bureaucratic examination to determine whether admission will be granted. One room has a clerk who inputs computerized records of what each applicant did on his or her last day of life.
 
The first applicant of the day explains that his last day was not a good one. "I came home early and found my wife lying naked in bed. She claimed she had just gotten out of the shower. Well, her hair was dry and I checked the shower and it was completely dry too. I knew she was into some hanky-panky and I began to look for her lover.
 
"I went onto the balcony of our 9th floor apartment and found the SOB clinging to the rail by his fingertips. I was so angry that I began bashing his fingers with a flower pot. He let go and fell, but his fall was broken by some awnings and bushes. On seeing he was still alive I found super human strength to drag our antique cedar chest to the balcony and throw it over. It hit the man and killed him. At this point the stress got to me and I suffered a massive heart attack and died."
The clerk thanked him and sent him on to the waiting room.
 
The second applicant said that his last day was his worst. "I was on the roof of an apartment building working on the AC equipment. I stumbled over my tools and toppled off the building. I managed to grab onto the balcony rail of a 9th floor apartment but some idiot came rushing out on the balcony and bashed my hands with a flower pot. I fell but hit some awnings and bushes and survived, but as I looked up I saw a huge chest falling toward me. I tried to crawl out of the way but failed and was hit and killed by the chest."
The clerk couldn't help but chuckle as he directs the man to the waiting room.
 
He is still giggling when his third customer of the day enters. He apologizes and says, "I doubt that your last day was as interesting as the two fellows that arrived here just before you."
"I don't know" replies the man... "Picture this, I'm buck naked hiding in this cedar chest..."
