President's Pen
There will not be an evening meeting next Wednesday 5 February.  At the Board meeting last Thursday, it was decided that as the evening meetings are not financially viable and have not attracted additional potential members as hoped, that Wednesday evenings would be cancelled effective immediately.

Our next formal meeting will be a breakfast meeting on Thursday 13 February.  However, there will be a ‘coffee conversation’ catch up this Thursday 30th January at the White Picket Fence café at 9.30am at 10 Stuart Road Dulwich.

The Board has decided to trial a different approach for project planning. Club directors will be convening small group project planning meetings for members who would like to be involved in a particular project or activity.  These meetings will be convened either in private homes or at a hotel or café.  The outcomes from these meetings can be presented to the Club at our regular meetings. Going forward, some of our meetings will be set aside for ‘brainstorming’ potential new projects and discussions of activities where the Club could be involved.

Our next Bunnings BBQ at Mile End will be on Sunday 9 February.  Di Lane has advised that there are still a number of spots to be filled on the roster for the 2nd and 3rd shifts.  Please contact Di Lane if you are able to help out.

The Four Way Test

The Four Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the Truth?
  2. Is it Fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build Goodwill and better Friendships?
  4. Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?

Affirmation

United in the spirit of Service we value truth, fairness and friendship; and we welcome the opportunity that Rotary gives us to contribute our talents and resources in support of others.

Rotary Club of Adelaide Light Mission Statement

To be recognised as the Service Club of Choice in the Eastern Precinct of Adelaide because we are a Friendly Breakfast Club that appeals to a broad range of busy people who want to make a difference to local and international communities.
