The future of computer technology

Sarah Brown is a software developer with nearly a decade of experience building database-driven applications for industry, and a lifelong love of computers and information systems. She is also the State Director for Code Like a Girl in SA, which provides events, education and employment opportunities for girls and women looking to enter the world of coding. In this session, Sarah will discuss the future of industry and the future of work in a world increasingly run by automated systems and big technology companies - and what that means for some of the more disadvantaged groups in our society.
