Speaker: Mandy Majors Role: Founder and Executive Director, nextTalk — a Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofit Topic: A San Antonio founder on kids, conversation, and life online Speaker background You will not want to miss this one. The phones in our pockets, and in our kids’ and grandkids’ hands, are the new neighborhood. Most of us are trying to parent, grandparent, or lead through that without a map. Mandy Majors is the San Antonio founder who has been in that fight from the kitchen table up. She started nextTalk after her own fourth-grader asked a question no nine-year-old should have to ask. On October 6 she will help us see the digital world the way families actually live it. Mandy is the founder and Executive Director of nextTalk, a Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofit. She is the author of two award-winning books, TALK and Keeping Kids Safe in a Digital World, and hosts the nextTalk podcast. Come hear how a local parent built a way to keep kids safe that is about conversation, not just more filters. Networking 11:30 AM · Program 12:00–1:00 PM · Albi’s Vite, Leon Spring |
