Designing a new club for tomorrow
May 12, 2020 7:30 a.m.
Discussion of merging our club with Peterborough has been going on for some time. Assuming both clubs approve joining forces in a new larger club, we will begin work on the shape and nature of the new club. This is the time to begin planning on what our new club should look like, how merging may influence the way we've been doing business, and opportunities for future meeting and service projects. Join us as we begin work on areas of club life and ways to grow a stronger, larger club that will deliver greater benefit to our communities. We'll be forming small work teams to evaluate various aspects of club life ranging from creating a new Charter and By-Laws to Program opportunities, to where and when we'll meet once we're able to get back together in person. Your participation will ensure that you will get the club you want!

The Souhegan Valley ‘Happy Hour’ Rotary Club (Nashua, NH)
May 19, 2020
Sam Cassista, incoming President of The Souhegan Valley ‘Happy Hour’ Rotary Club (Nashua, NH), will be joining us to discuss her unusual Rotary club design. As a young Rotarian (relative to our older traditional clubs), Sam's club has found a way to keep Rotary relevant in today's times. The Happy Hour Rotary Club was formed in 2010 when a small group of young professionals identified a need for a Rotary club that met in the evenings, appealed to a wide demographic and still had a significant impact on the community.
"Normal Meetings take place at Boston Billiard Club and Casino in Nashua from 5:30pm to 6:30pm every Monday. Boston Billiard Club and Casino |55 Northeastern Blvd, Nashua, NH 03062 When we're not at Boston Billiards, we're usually doing community projects so be sure to check out our calendar." Join us to see how this unusual Rotary club promotes Service Above Self among today's younger movers and , and where Sam intends to take her club this coming year. We'll have opportunities to explore how our club might adopt some of their innovative approach to broaden Rotary's appeal among our young professionals in the Monadnock Region.

Club Charter & By-Laws, Progress Reports on Future Club Life
May 28, 2020 7:30 a.m.
If our clubs plan to merge by the start of the new Rotary Year on July 1st, we will need to submit our application to merge and our proposed new Charter and By-Laws to Rotary International by June 1. This assembly will be our chance for the team working on theseclubs documents to review them with our members and conduct a vote to accept these foundation documents. This will also be a first opportunity for our Rotary Teams to present their thinking to members for feedback and guidance on their work. Some recommendations may be ready for adoption, while others will be works in progress that will continue through June and July. Together we will create the club you want. |
