The Rotary Club of Flamborough AM is pleased to continue with its support of our community by making donations to various community groups, and by providing literacy awards and bursaries for students graduating from our local schools. Pictured is Lynn receiving a donation in support of the Flamborough Archives & Heritage Society, and Daniela N. receiving a high school graduation bursary award from Rotarian, Paul Giannotti.

Students from Waterdown District High School along with their art teacher, Erin Jeppesen, recently attended a pottery workshop at Creative Insights Pottery on Main Street in Waterdown. The Youth & Vocation Committee from the Rotary Club of Flamborough AM helped to connect the attendees with Katia from Creative Insights Pottery, and also provided a subsidy to help reduce some of the cost of this field trip for the students. It was a great way for our local art students to connect with one of our artisans in the community!

It’s hard to believe, but it’s just ONE WEEK until Waterdown’s first-ever Virtual Ribfest! I don’t know about you, but I am more than ready for a backyard barbecue party. And what makes a great summer bash? Food. Friends (in person if it’s safe, online if it’s not). Food. Music. Did I mention food?

Ribfest |
If ribs are the heart of our festival, then music is the soul. And even though we have to do it farther apart than usual this year Waterdown will still be rocking, with 10 great bands we know from the park taking the Virtual Stage. The fun begins at 6 p.m. on our Facebook page.
