A dozen Rotarians gathered at the Garvin Theatre last Friday night to enjoy Clue, a popular play based on the board game of the same name.  Outrageous puns and over-the-top acting were the order of the day as Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard raced to find the murderer in Boddy Manor.

Debbie Merlo and her husband Bob hosted dessert after the play at their lovely home.  Participants enjoyed the warm evening while eating and drinking al fresco.

District 5240 Governor Margarida Eidson

District 5240 Governor Margarida Eidson visited our Club on Tuesday, October 16th.  She began her Rotary journey as a member of the Rotary Club of Ventura East, and served in a variety of Club and District positions before assuming her current role as Governor of Rotary District 5240.  

She emphasized the idea of Rotarians as People of Action and encouraged all of us to continue exploring the opportunities Rotary has to offer and leveraging our unique talents to serve our community.

Thanks to all who showed up with family and friends in tow to assist with this year's SB Yacht Club Charity Regatta supporting VNA Health.

Volunteers moved furniture (over sand, no less!), decorated tables, and arranged auction items in preparation for the event. When the festivities concluded, Rotarians were on hand again to help tear down and clean up.

It was a great example of community teamwork and Rotary values in action!
