PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
I hope you’ll explore this website. As you do, you’ll get a sense of who we are and what we’re about as Rotarians: local members of a 121-year-old world-wide organization devoted to helping neighbors and engaging in our communities. We are open to all who want to be involved in this good work: people creating lasting impact, neighbors making new friends.
Check our meeting schedule and find a Tuesday to join us for lunch—our treat. It will be my pleasure to welcome you.
Peter S. Buehler
President, 2026-2027
WHAT IS ROTARY?
Rotary is a global network of more than 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who envision a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Solving real problems takes commitment and vision. More than 120 years ago, Rotary made service a priority. In 1953, the Rotary Club of Montecito was established with the same mission.
Today, our members are still people of action who use their passion, energy, and intelligence to lead change. From literacy to peace and from water to health, we are always working to make our world better; and we stay committed to the end.
LIVING WITH INTEGRITY VIA THE FOUR-WAY TEST
The Four-Way Test is an ethical guide for what Rotarians think, say or do in their personal and professional relationships.
What makes The Four-Way Test unique is its design. It invites us to search for our own answers and constantly examine our own behavior. It’s broad and inclusive, highlighting values of truth and fairness that resonate universally.

WHY JOIN ROTARY?
We think our members say it best …
