Governor Olson will be joining us at this week's meeting since the meeting last week was cut short due to a change in the meeting location. Unbeknownst to us until that morning, we couldn't get into the usual room as the School District needed to use it for staff training. So for the next few meetings we will be gathering at Village Concepts, 9035 28th Pl NE. Come and join us to learn more about the regional and international impact Rotarians have and how we can be part of that! Governor Kathleen Olson will share about this year's Engagement Initiative. This is a plan to grow and retain membership, collaborate with local groups in our community, have Club members participate in Club activities and support the Rotary Foundation. We look forward to welcoming Governor Olson…again.
Thursday is a Fireside at Dweller's Drinkery, 4:30-6:30 pm.

Our meeting on August 21st was an impromptu gathering in the parking lot outside of the School District Administration Building as the Community Meeting Room was being used by District Leadership for Staff Training. During our time, District Governor Kathleen Olson presented our Club and 2025-2026 Club President Brian Lewis with the Rotary 2025-2026 Club Excellence Award. It is signed by IPRIP Francesco Arezzo, PRIP and current TRF Chair Holger Knaack and IPDG Isabelle Martinez Hayer.
Also, attending was Morgan Crosby who spoke about the District's Y.E.S. (Youth Engaged in Service) program. She encouraged our Club to continue supporting the various youth programs of Rotary: Interact, YAIL, RYLA and Rotaract.
Interact is a service club for youth ages 14-18. The name is a combination of the words international and action. We join Clubs in over 120 countries around the world. The global youth network is dedicated to community and international service. Every Interact Club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.
