Our program this week will include a report about The Rotary Foundation--what it is and how it works to multiply donations to fund the great projects the Clubs get involved in their communities--whether that community is near by or far away. Club Foundation Chair Bob Howe will explain it all for us.

As we have mentioned, our Scholarship Portal is now open to accept applications from 2026 Lake Stevens High School graduating seniors. If you know of a senior who plans to pursue education after high school at a college, university of technical/vocational institution, please invite them to submit an application. Our guest speaker on Friday, February 27th was Haley Karnes, Campaign Development Manager for the Pacific Northwest Chapter of Blood Cancer United--formerly the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The organization provides research, support and advocacy. Blood Cancer United is the leading organization for everyone affected by blood cancer. The organization started in 1949. The organization is involved in advanced cancer care, patient support programs including peer to peer support, education and nutrition as well as resource programs. Blood Cancer United is a Visionary working with Fred Hutch and Children's Hospital Policy and Advocacy. Removing red tape is a big issue. Fundraising is a major part of their efforts.
Two of our four new members were given their membership kits on Friday, February 27th. The Membership Kits include their badges, certificates, Rotary pins and more. The two other members will receive their Membership Kits at an upcoming meeting.
Interact is a service club for youth ages 14-18. The name is a combination of the words international and action. We join Clubs in over 120 countries around the world. The global youth network is dedicated to community and international service. Every Interact Club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.

Our regular Rotary Club Meetings are at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center lower level Community Room located at 12309 22nd St NE. We start at 7:30 am. Click here for the online link. There will not be any breakfast served. However, coffee will be available. Visitors are always welcome.
