The program this week includes a presentation by our Scout Troop Committee Chair, Kristen Wells. We have sponsored the Troop now for three years. In that time, we have had a 600% growth in youth members! She will give an update on the Troop's activities and what's planned for the next few months.
 
Thanks to those that worked on the Highland Elementary playground project!

Lake Stevens App

Most of us live in an App world. So, why not create an App for Lake Stevens? Done. Mike Beazer, a Boeing engineer created the Lake Stevens App while working from home in his spare time. Here is some relevant information if you haven't downloaded the new Lake Stevens App.
There is so much information on this App that keeps you abreast of weather, Shop Local with so much essential information about restaurants, shopping.  parks, services in Lake Stevens, city events such as Planning Commission, Park Board, Veterans and Council meetings that will keep you updated and knowledgeable about "what's" going on in Lake Stevens. Thanks, Mike, for being so enterprising and putting this together.
Highland Elementary School Interactive Pathway

It started with the new playground being built at Highland Elementary School about 18 months ago and finished on Wednesday, April 6th with the interactive pathway to the all-inclusive playground equipment completed. Our Club, along with matching funds from District 5050, obtained the Diamond level status helping fund this new all-inclusive playground.
 
Some of the images of the all-interactive pathway from the school to the old and new playground equipment. The process began on Saturday, morning April 2nd with seven Club members and resumed on Wednesday, April 6th with five Club members.  
The school mascot and our club logo are part of the pathway project. 
 
So much fun. It would be fun to see the faces of the students when they return to school on Monday. We've already seen some of the kids playing on the school grounds and came over for a visit while we were putting this all together.

​Interact is a service club for youth ages 14-18. The name is a combination of the words international​ and action​. We join Clubs in over 120 countries around the world. The global youth network is dedicated to community and international service. Every Interact Club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.

Our regular Rotary Club Meetings are at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center lower level Community Room located at 12309 22nd St NE. We start at 7:30 am. Click here for the online link. There will not be any breakfast served. However, coffee will be available. Visitors are always welcome.
