This week's meeting will include a Classification Talk or two from our members. The Classification Talk is one of the ways members can introduce themselves to the Club. Usually done soon after a member joins the Club, members who have been Rotarians for a while also occasionally give a Talk. If you haven't given a talk yet or would like to give one, please contact Programs Chair Kendra.

Make sure you have paid you dues for the next half year. Contact Jak if you have any questions or need to make arrangements.

The link to our YouTube Channel is now available on our website and our weekly bulletins. You can view recent online meetings. If you watch any of them, you can count it as a makeup. Just let our Secretary, Gary O'Rielly know.

Project Linus

Our speaker on Friday, January 5th was Diane from Project Linus.

Project Linus is headquarters are located in Belton, Missouri. Project Linus has chapters located across the United States and in Snohomish County. Diane from Project Linus, Snohomish County. Project Linus continues to grow and blankets are collected locally and distributed to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, or anywhere that a child might be in need of a big hug.

Since 1995, over 356,325+ blankets have been delivered to children in the United States. Diane is now working with King County as well as Snohomish County. Some of the children receiving blankets are from domestic violence, sexual abuse and more. There are at least two chapters per state but Texas where it all began, has many more. Washington has eight chapters.

Major Donor Recognition

President Don Iverson presents a Rotary International Crystal Recognition Award to Randal Southam for his major donor status. Randal gave a huge plug for members to be active in giving and donating to the Rotary Foundation in order for us to make a positive impact on the lives of others throughout the world. Congratulations Randal!

Board Meeting with District Governor

District Governor David Lukov was a guest at our Board meeting and dinner followed by a tour of the Lake Stevens Community Food Bank and the Rotary Teaching Kitchen on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. What a great send off and kick off to the new year and the last half of the 2023-2024 Rotary year.

Following the meeting, a tour of the Lake Stevens Community Food Bank including the Rotary Teaching Kitchen was hosted by Anthony Hawley, Executive Director of the Food Bank who also cooked the dinner for our board members and guest.

Membership Dues

Members- invoices were sent to you for the semi-annual dues and voluntary contribution to The Rotary Fund (EREY). Cash, check, Venmo are all acceptable ways to make that payment. If you have yet to make your dues payment please contact the Treasurer to let him know when you will take care of this. Check your email for the invoice and be part of the Paid group. Thank you for supporting your Club.

Road Clean Up

Interact is a service club for youth ages 14-18. The name is a combination of the words international and action. We join Clubs in over 120 countries around the world. The global youth network is dedicated to community and international service. Every Interact Club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.

The School Year has started up and so have our Club Meetings! Contact Mrs. Odegaard for more information!

Our regular Rotary Club Meetings are at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center lower level Community Room located at 12309 22nd St NE. We start at 7:30 am.
