Our meeting this week will include a Classification Talk by new member Rand Southam, reports on upcoming community service projects and a report from the Board Meeting. Plus, we hope to hear from Amy on how she did on her bike ride raising funds for the YMCA.
This Saturday is the District Assembly at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Surrey, BC. the Assembly is open to all Rotarians. It's a great opportunity to learn more about how Rotary works and how you can make a bigger impact for the greater good of your community. Our guest speakers on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day were Rotaractors Alec Linse and Morgan Crosby. They were here representing their Club, Snohomish County Rotaract which was founded on March 17, 2017.

We partner with many Rotary clubs in the county, supporting each other's projects.
Their projects are responsible for creating, enacting, and sustaining projects to make the world a better place.
Through the Hands with Peacemaking organization, they have been to Guatemala twice installing wood burning stoves. Current projects include the Green Bag Projects which is a national food collection program and is self-sustaining. They serve the Snohomish County Food Coalition. Rotaract is looking for neighborhood coordinators for this program.
The Green Bag project is a bi-monthly program where every two months the community members who have agreed to participate in the program go around and deliver Green Bags full of food and pick up the empty Green Bag for use the next time, they have a delivery.
Most of the Rotaract meetings are on-line mainly on Wednesday. They are big into Youth Adventures in Leadership through facilitator Billy Hager. Social media is one of their outlets for connecting to them.
Rotaract is looking for food donors and coordinators. Currently, they only have one donor in Lake Stevens and one in Granite Falls.
On Saturday, March 18th our Rotary Club crew was out picking up trash and debris on 16th St NE from the Boys & Girls Club to N Machias Rd and west towards 8th St NE as well as along Main St and 18th St both east and west of Main St. Thank You Rotarians! During the St. Patrick's Day celebration Amy Lewandowski received encouraging comments from Club members. shown her with our Past President Kevin for her efforts to raise $205,000 for the YMCA. On Tuesday, March 21st Amy will, beginning at 6 am, commence a 12-hour cycle ride to raise the funds for the YMCA. Amazing journey. May the Luck of the Irish be with you as you begin and end your cycling adventure for a really great cause.

Interact is a service club for youth ages 14-18. The name is a combination of the words international and action. We join Clubs in over 120 countries around the world. The global youth network is dedicated to community and international service. Every Interact Club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.

Our regular Rotary Club Meetings are at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center lower level Community Room located at 12309 22nd St NE. We start at 7:30 am. Click here for the online link. There will not be any breakfast served. However, coffee will be available. Visitors are always welcome.
