Our guest speakers on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day were Rotaractors Alec Linse and Morgan Crosby. They were here representing their Club, Snohomish County Rotaract which was founded on March 17, 2017.
  • Chartered in 2017
  • 13 active members
  • Registered 501(c)(3) non-profit
  • Participates in local and international service projects
  • Active with district youth events YAIL and RYLA, with most members having attended or facilitated (or facilitating this year's) at both leadership weekends.
  • Club business meetings are held primarily online
  • In-person meetings/gatherings are held frequently
  • We partner with many Rotary clubs in the county, supporting each other's projects.
Their projects are responsible for creating, enacting, and sustaining projects to make the world a better place.
Through the Hands with Peacemaking organization, they have been to Guatemala twice installing wood burning stoves. Current projects include the Green Bag Projects which is a national food collection program and is self-sustaining. They serve the Snohomish County Food Coalition.  Rotaract is looking for neighborhood coordinators for this program.

The Green Bag project is a bi-monthly program where every two months the community members who have agreed to participate in the program go around and deliver Green Bags full of food and pick up the empty Green Bag for use the next time, they have a delivery.

Most of the Rotaract meetings are on-line mainly on Wednesday. They are big into Youth Adventures in Leadership through facilitator Billy Hager. Social media is one of their outlets for connecting to them.

Rotaract is looking for food donors and coordinators. Currently, they only have one donor in Lake Stevens and one in Granite Falls.
