The Coppell Historical Society has requested that Rotarians assistance with cleaning, arranging, and revamping the Minyard Store at Heritage Park. They would like for us to participate on Saturday, April 27 from 8:30 to 10 or so. Afterwards we could walk over to the Coppell Deli and grab breakfast or coffee. We need as many people as possible. This would be a great family and freind event. Wear your work clothes and bring as many people who want to help out. If you have any questions, you can contact me. If you are interested in helping mentor people in our community regarding their personal and professional development skills, please consider volunteering for the Metrocrest Community Job Fair. It is on May 13 from 1 – 4 p.m. Metrocrest is looking for 5-6 volunteers as greeters and to roam around the venue to chat with those attending the Job Fair and the employers. The idea is to mingle to observe what are the needs that people have. We can then work with Metrocrest on developing a program to that helps find a way to fill that gap through providing professional and personal development and mentorship. This volunteer effort came about a request from a Rotary Board Member that would like share their job experiences and how it could be applicable to those seeking to further their careers or better themselves. If you would like more information, please contact Mario. |
