Stan has spent most of his professional career as an Engineer and being involved in local politics to ensure a better future for our children and grandchildren.  He was born, raised and educated in Oklahoma, but after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Electronic Engineering, Stan quickly moved to Texas. 

He has worked in the aerospace industry, the Central Test Facility for the International Space Station, and managed technical development teams at Compaq Computer for Desktop Computer and Laptop computer development.

Stan is married to Gail Stanart, past President of Texas Tea Party Republican Woman, who is also equally active in making Harris County a better place to live.  Stan is the father of three grown sons; Derek, Michael and Matthew, and a grandfather to Daniel (5) and Elisa (2).   He served as a Boy Scout Den leader and assistant Scoutmaster for his sons in their younger years.

Van is a proud staff member of Council Member Le and serves as the Chief of Community Affairs.  He graduated from the University of Houston – Downtown with a BBA degree in Finance and Economics in May 1998. In the past 18 years, Van has been a successful Investment Advisor representing major financial firms such as Morgan Stanley, UBS, ING and Transamerica Financial Advisors to help families to build and preserve wealth. Van is also very active in community services. He served on the Board of Advisors for the Asia Society of Texas, Southeast Asian Resource Action Center in DC, The Vietnamese Community of Houston and Vicinity.  His vision and passion is working together with the people in our district to make District F safer and stronger.
