On September 30, the Staples Rotary moved their meeting to CLC and joined the “Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library” presentation and meal hosted by First International Bank and Trust. The presentation was given by Gretchen Stenehjem, Library Board member and advocate for locating the Library in North Dakota. The Library held its Gand Opening on July 4th, 2026 and has already been visited by over 150,000 people.
She noted the unique design of the two buildings that make up the Library, explaining that the structure blends in with nature. Inside, every room has the latest in AI technology, enabling visitors to interact and enter the world of Theodore Roosevelt in the late 1800s and early 1900s, in a 3-D setting.
Visitors learn about his first visit to ND, the loss his mother and wife on the same day in New York, his return to ND to find himself, and his rise to the Presidency… and so much more, including his many quotes. For more information visit: https://www.trlibrary.com
