District Governor Elect Tim Schilds presents a chair at Tuesday's successful Wheelchair meeting.
President Stephan had a great meeting with lots of guests, there to receive some of 50 wheelchairs.
The BIG cheque for $10,000. was presented from our club to the WPAC project. By the end of the meeting. ALL $40,000. needed to proceed, had been raised.
In total, $450,000. has been raised and used to provide 3,200 wheelchairs. These are the first to be given away in Alberta. Mexico, Dominican Republic and Philippines have been previous receivers.
DG Linda speaks of the importance of dedication and energy being directed towards this project.
