CNIB has passionately provided community-based support, knowledge and a national voice to ensure Canadians who are blind or partially sighted have the confidence, skills and opportunities to lead a fulfilling life. This presentation will provide information about CNIB’s Programs and Services for individuals who are blind or partially sighted, and the supports available for those who are involved in these individuals’ lives. Also during the presentation, the speaker, Merico will share some his personal touch related with programs.

 

Merico Tesolin’s brief profile:

Merico Tesolin is proud to be one of CNIB’s client and employees. He has Ushers Syndrome that contains with both hearing and vision loss. For over twenty-five years, he has battled with his dual sensory loss but that does not stop him from being happy with who is he now. He loves Netflix and to cook new recipes of exotic foods. He enjoys try out the new things. His goals for this year to join the dragon sight boat and start the training for triathlon.

In 2010, he founded a small not for profit organization for the Deafblind community at Edmonton. He has been a tireless advocate for deafblind individuals, lobbying on issues such as the right to increased service, equality for Deafblind communication access and educating people about us. He is a passionate, engaging presenter who is highly regarded because of his humour and warmth.
