We recently received a very comprehensive management report from 180 Degrees Consulting, a world wide organisation which provides free services to non-profit organsations such as our Wheelchair Trust. This report is our starting point to do a comprehensive forward projection of the direction our Project Shed can (will) take. Wheelchair Trust Chairman Larry Murray will outline his views, followed by open discussion of the various points. This is an interactive session - you are invited to actively participate in the discussion! |

In his younger days, Nigel Fotheringham was an Air Force pilot for the (then) Rhodesian Air Force. After emigrating to Australia in 1981, he ran his own business, specialising in non-asbestos insulation products. Today, he is a pilot for Angel Flights. This organisation is a charity which coordinates non-emergency flights to assist country people to access specialist medical treatment that would otherwise be unavailable to them because of vast distance and high travel costs.
All flights are free and may involve travel to medical facilities anywhere in Australia.

You would recall: Sophia visited us early December last year, where she introduced herself. Our club sponsored this very bright young lady to attend this year's National Youth Science Forum, which was held last month. (Yes, you need to be at the top of the STEM subjects to be even considered, not to mention to be selected). |

Peter McGuiness, together with his wife Melissa, founded You Chose Road Safety, a youth-led mission to change driving culture from legacy paradigms of ‘luck’ to the empowerment of choice. Their 18-year-old son, Jordan, was speeding and under the influence of alcohol and drugs when he drove his car into a stationary vehicle. His choices killed four young victims in the other car and also himself. |
