Nicole Ellis, Regional Manager

Cancer Council Queensland

Sep 17, 2026

I’m the Regional Manager for Cancer Council Queensland in Brisbane and also look after Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast regions.
I’ve been with Cancer Council Queensland for a number of years, and my role is really focused on supporting the day-to-day operation of our services and, most importantly, making sure we provide the best possible support to people affected by cancer.
Cancer Council Queensland is much more than cancer research. We provide a range of practical support services for people living with cancer, their families and carers. This includes accommodation, transport, wigs and headwear, supportive care, information and emotional support.

Shelly Walker, Community Development Manager

Sovereign Community Nursing

Jan 28, 2027
At SCN, we help older Australians and their families navigate the often-complex aged care and health care systems. We are a nurse-led organisation that provides clinical nursing, care coordination, aged care navigation, and in-home support, helping people remain independent and live well in their own homes for as long as possible.
My role is to build relationships within our community, connect people with the right support, and create awareness of the services available to older Australians and their families. I'm looking forward to sharing how SCN is helping local people age with confidence, dignity, and choice.
