ABOUT THE EVENT

The Great Burleigh Duck Race is a Rotary Club of Burleigh Heads community event and Gold Coast institution. Thousands of rubber ducks race down Currumbin Creek in a day, combining family fun with a serious purpose: raising funds and awareness for domestic violence support services, community groups and schools.

WHY THIS EVENT MATTERS

Community Connection

Brings together local residents, families, schools and businesses for a shared day of fun.

Charitable Impact

Delivers direct, tangible funding and visibility to DV support services, community groups and schools.

Lasting Legacy

Built steadily over four years into a trusted, recurring fixture on the Gold Coast calendar.

THREE WAYS TO GET BEHIND THE ACTION

  1. Community Charity Duck Race — back a duck and support one of the community groups taking part in duck sales.
  2. Quack Back Against DV Race — put a duck in the race and help raise awareness and funds for domestic and family violence support.
  3. Stand Up for DV Paddle Board Race — cheer on the paddlers in a new addition to the 2026 programme.
