all of which will go to charities we support youth, food security, disaster relief, homelessness, education, and women, 
locally, nationally, and internationally.

Calgary Clubs Join Forces - Homespace

Home Space, Small Donations Committee, Rotary Club of Calgary

The Rotary Club of Calgary, through its Small Donations Committee, was pleased to be part of this multi-club project in partnership with HomeSpace. It leveraged its $5000 contribution with Rotary District Funds to $12,500. In turn this was leveraged with the Calgary Fish Creek, Calgary Heritage Park, Calgary Millennium, Calgary Olympic, Calgary Sarcee and Calgary West Rotary Clubs to $72,500.
 
HomeSpace, a provider of social housing in Calgary, is upgrading  8 existing family units to provide the dignity and serenity of a nice home where children and youth will grow up with fond memories.

Thanks for Supporting the Bottle Drive!

Recycled bottles and cans and  proceeds directed to the Rotary Club of Calgary Fish Creek for our January Fundraiser raised $710 over the 6 weeks, with all proceeds to be donated to the Calgary Distress Centre.
 
You can continue to donate through SKIP THE DEPOT all year long.
 
Not only did we raise a considerable amount of money with little effort, we also contributed positively to our environment. (one of our Rotary goals)

Where did the Sargent of Arms Hat come from?

When Fish Creek first started as a club, we recognized we needed to have something to collect our fines in, so being new and not having much, we looked around the dining room and picked up a wicker bread basket.  This was used for a few of the meetings – but it did not give off that satisfying sound “clink”, as the coins hit the bottom of the dish.

The Rotary Club of Calgary Fish Creek was founded in 1996 by the Rotary Club of Calgary Chinook. The Club meets Monday evenings (except on Statutory holidays) from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the Willow Park Golf & Country Club. We look forward to having you join us for some fellowship and fun whether you're a visitor from another Rotary club or someone who may be interested in joining our Fish Creek family. You are always welcome!
