COFFEE AND CHAT WITH PRESIDENT CHARLIE

It’s already more than two weeks into the new Rotary year and yet the pace of movement is literary faster than light. It’s been an amazing several months as we prepared to start the year of ‘Serving To Change Lives’ but I must say that nothing prepares you for the real game.
I got a rude awakening towards the end of June when I consulted IPP Jennifer over an issue and she deftly told me; ‘I think that is a matter for your board to decide’. At that point, the fact hit me right it the face that it was actually show time.

A TRIBUTE TO  DNGD AGGREY KANKUNDA
CELEBRATING A 29 YEAR ROTARY JOURNEY

Ultimately your life will be measured by what you gave, not what you received; Todd Henry

If service above self was a person, it would be the late Aggrey Kankunda, who was fervently referred to as AK. His strong sense of humility and infectious personality saw him bring the largest number of recruits to Kampala South.

AK had friends from different age groups often causing those around him to act with urgency, live and enjoy life with integrity while utilising their various talents. His friends forthwith became family.

TOUCHING AND INSPIRING EULOGIES
PDG Stephen Mwanje:
To me AK stood for fun and friendship. He meant well for everyone and was always a source of positive energy. AK loved people genuinely and he'd never talk ill about anyone. AK was a super guy and would've been an excellent DG. AK never had time for negativism and had humour in every situation. Rest in Peace my brother Aggrey 🙏

GO WELL ROTARIAN AGGREY

No!
Not again! Wasn’t it just yesterday?
That a pot broke at the door?

Now you too have sneaked away from us?
Surely who will fill this huge gap?

The loving father, grooming your little boy
Into a fine young man who knows the love of labour.
A man who knows that it’s the sweat on his brow
And how dirty he gets his hand, that count.
A man who knows to honour friendship.

The young man feels cheated.
You have not yet completed your assignment

"Please take your clothes out of the wardrobe regularly, air them out, and allow to stand in sunlight.
Recent studies show that if clothes are kept in wardrobes over lockdown, they shrink!"
