At 84 years young, San Diego personal trainer and health coach Rico Caveglia brings 44 years of experience helping people live healthier and more active lives. Rico will share practical lifestyle habits that can help us maintain strength, energy, mental sharpness, and independence as we age. His interactive presentation will offer simple strategies that members can begin applying immediately to improve their health and overall quality of life.

Our new District Governor will come for a club visit and Introduce himself to the club and give us a Distrcit update. 

Civic Communities creates partnerships and provides financing, housing development, and project support to strengthen underserved communities throughout San Diego County. The presentation will highlight how the organization helps fund community facilities, affordable housing, local businesses, and projects that create jobs and expand access to essential services. Members will learn about Civic Communities’ work and the lasting impact these investments have across our region. 

San Diego Climate Week is back this year, and it's a chance for Rotary to show up in front of the community as an organization that takes environmental responsibility seriously, leading the pack, not following it. 

Every three months, we'll take a step back and look at where we are as a club. We'll review our progress in membership, fellowship, service, finances, and community impact. We will celebrate what's going well, identify areas where we can improve, and make sure we're staying on track with the goals we set at the beginning of the year. The purpose is to learn, make any necessary adjustments, and to build a stronger club together.

The founder of Wylde Horses has invited Old Mission Rotary to attend a workshop at the ranch. Please join us for what promises to be an engaging and fun afternoon filled with activities and fellowship.

Possible Club Social 

Dr. Anshu Chandra, Director of the Haiti Eye Clinic for Global Eye Project and a member of the Niskayuna Rotary Club, will join us virtually to discuss her organization’s work restoring sight and preventing blindness in rural Haiti. Since 2015, the clinic has provided more than 141,000 free eye examinations and now serves over 15,000 patients annually. Dr. Chandra will also share information about its school-based vision screenings, training for Haitian eye-care professionals, and plans to build a permanent clinic to provide sustainable, year-round care.

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Art Heist – A fascinating look at one of the largest unsolved art thefts in history. In 1990, two men disguised as Boston police officers entered the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and stole 13 works of art valued at more than $500 million. More than 35 years later, no arrests have been made and none of the stolen artwork has ever been recovered.
