Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions
Dec 02, 2020 7:00 AM
Kilty Brown was raised and educated in Houston, TX. After graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing, she moved to Wyoming to embark on a career in healthcare. Kilty may have came for nursing, but she grew roots in Wyoming out of a love of the state. As a nurse, Kilty worked across the continuum of healthcare, until she found her passion in hospice and palliative care. As the Executive Director of Central Wyoming Hospice & Transition, she leads the oldest and largest hospice in Wyoming. Since stepping into this role, she has successfully grown the organization by 50% in three years and doubled the volunteer program. Kilty is active in the palliative care community and has presented nationally on utilization of hospice facilities. She gives back to the community through Kiwanis, Meals on Wheels, and the Casper College School of Nursing Advisory Board. Whether she’s backpacking in the Bighorns, skiing the Alps or trekking Everest, Kilty loves sharing new adventures with her husband and children.
Susan Burk is the Community Liaison for Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions, providing education, outreach, marketing, and media relations for the organization. She is a former broadcast journalist, having worked in Wyoming television and radio for more than two decades as an anchor, reporter, producer, and talk show host. She also spent five years as a Programs Specialist with the Matthew Shepard Foundation.
