Global Crayola Creativity Week

Kids see the world through a lens of curiosity and wonder, constantly asking ‘why’ and ‘how.’ Their imaginations know no bounds as they embrace creativity. When kids create, they explore solutions and unlock new possibilities. Global Crayola Creativity Week is a celebration of every child’s unique creative spirit and every parent and educator’s opportunity to foster creativity and encourage imaginative discovery. When we empower kids through creative expression, we help them reach their full potential.

Upcoming Service Opportunities
Speech Contest -
Our Annual Speech contest is coming up next month. The Speech Contest is an annual event held in February or March of each year.  A finite number of students from local high schools work with their Advisors and Rotary Representatives to develop and present a speech to the sponsoring Rotary Club. Winners then proceed to the District Semi-Finals and the National Final. Cash prizes are given at each level. The presentations for the students we are sponsoring will be at our Wednesday Club meeting on February 11th. Please be sure to attend and reach out to Christine Giri on how you can help.

Blood Drive -
We have our blood drive in March. The Club is partnering with the Victory High School Interact Club and Vitalant for a blood drive. The goal is to secure at least 30 donors, including community members, students, and Rotarians. The blood drive will take place on March 13th. Please reach out to Ken Broadway on how you can help.

Rotary Foundation Distinguished Service Award
Reminder: last week, let's recognize our fellow Rotarians who have been living the Rotary way of service above self. Nominate a member for the Rotary Foundation Distinguished Service Award. Nominations are closing at the end of January.

The Rotary Foundation’s Distinguished Service Award honors Rotarians and Rotaractors who have demonstrated exemplary service to the Foundation and who received the Citation for Meritorious Service at least four years earlier. During the month of January, any Rotarian or Rotaractor can nominate one candidate for this award by submitting an online nomination form.
