What it means to YOU and our Club to be an ACTIVE Member of the Rotary E-Cub of Canada One

  • You are eligible to join the Rotary E-club if Canada One if you live or do business in ANY Rotary District in any country of the Rotary world.
  • If you are a contributor to society in your profession, occupation, industry, business or community you are one of 1.2 million who have joined Rotary and may qualify to join the Rotary E-Club of Canada One.
  • If you are committed to the personal ethics of Service Above Self,
  • The Four-Way Test, and support the Object of Rotary, you will be considered a very suitable candidate.
  • If you have regular access to the Internet and are willing to acquire the necessary skills to participate in the activities of Rotary E-Club of Canada One, you will have no trouble attending our meetings either live or on the web.
  • If you are willing to familiarize yourself with Clubrunner, enroll in our on-line Orientation program and complete the tasks required, (This includes completing your on-line Profile and include your Photo (which is not visible to the general public), you will enjoy your membership in our Club to the fullest and make life for our Secretary easier.
  • If you are willing to participate regularly in the Rotary E-Club of Canada One community - as appropriate and feasible - and accept tasks and responsibilities our club will benefit and so will you.
  • If prior to your induction you have agreed to commit to serve on a Committee in need of team members and be actively involved on this committee you will receive all the support needed, you will make a difference in our club, your community and the world and learn more about Rotary and its work.
  • You are expected to report service activities and meeting hours each 1 month. (Minimum requirement is 12 hours per quarter, which is equivalent to 1 hour per week). These activities are to be reported on a regular basis by using our website attendance reporting form .
  • Our weekly meetings are posted on the club website at www.rotaryeclubcanada.ca and you are expected to “attend” at least two of these each month and make a weekly financial contribution. Doing so helps you keep up to date with club events and activities of our members.
  • Fellowship is an important aspect of Rotary. We hold on-line monthly (Zoom) Fellowship Meetings (3rd Tuesday of the month) and weekly Coffee Chats. We expect you to attend at least one of these prior to your induction. This will allow our members to meet you, and you to meet them. Announcement of these events with a link to the site, is posted on the site page of our website under “Upcoming Events”. A reminder is sent out as well.
  • These “FellowSIP” meetings are open to members and guests, and you are encouraged to invite others.
  • Attendance is subject to the meeting taking place at an appropriate time in your time zone. The monthly Fellowship meetings will be available on YouTube after the event. We encourage members to view these, to stay up to date with any new developments, learning opportunities and getting to know their fellow members. These recordings qualify for attendance, only once accepted as a member in our club.
  • As a member of the club you have the privilege and responsibility to, at least once a month, provide content of some form for the weekly meetings.
  • We offer adequate Orientation training on Zoom to allow you to participate in the on-line meeting in a more enjoyable and effective way. See https://zoom.us
  • The Rotary E-club of Canada One has a You Tube channel with a variety of videos about our club and its members. It also features our Annual Fireside Chat. To learn more about the work of our e-club we suggest that from time to time familiarize yourself with the content of our channel and watch the Fireside Chat.
  • We have developed a Quiz based on the content of the Fireside Chat and encourage you to take the quiz to test your skills. (Expiry date for the contest is April 30 2019)
  • As a member, you will be able to make a classification presentation to the club either live or pre-recorded, so members become acquainted with you, your Rotary experience and your profession.
  • Members of the E-club accept that all club programs, forums, business, and communications are conducted in English.
  • We are blessed to live in a prosperous country and able to make contribution towards projects that support those less fortunate. Members of the E-club agree to make regular contributions to support club projects and the Rotary Foundation.
  • Current annual dues are CDN$300 per annum and support the operating costs of Rotary International, Rotary District 5370, and Rotary E-Club of Canada One. Payments can be made on a semi annual basis and are due January 1st and July 1st.
  • For the purpose of Rotary administration, each member of the Rotary E-Club of Canada One is considered a member in good standing of District 5370, with a Head Office in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, although they reside in a Province, Country or State of their choice.
  • We respect your privacy and ask you respect that of others by never sharing your password to allow anyone entry to the ClubRunner Member area. Doing so, would breach the confidentiality laws in Canada and some other countries.

  • Active Membership in Rotary E-Club of Canada One is not an "easy" option. Requirements for admission to any Rotary club are stringent. For current Rotarians, Rotary E-Club of Canada One adds additional requirements including, transfer request from current club, written 3 references from previous club president or secretary, and a current Rotarian who will vouch for the applicant. Our rigorous screening of applicants is a necessary first step to ensure excellence.
