Tim's Double Double
During DG Tim Schild's recent visit to our club, he announced that our donations to Polio Plus would receive a double double!!
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation would double match any donations and the Canadian Government would do the same.
So that $2 a week at Timmy's actually puts $520/ yr. towards the final push to eradicate polio.
What a Great way to contribute and I challenge every e club member, to give what they can.
Oh and if you are a Starbucker, buck up!

Janice is recently retired from the Ontario Provincial Government after working with them for 32 years.
She lives in Peterborough, Ontario, and likes to Geocache. She's also planning on wintering in Yuma, Arizona.
Janice is a friend of the Peterborough Rotary Club, and finds the presentation of the E-Club to be more varied and global.

(Kathryn) Anre McIntosh
Anre is an experienced Rotarian recently with the Rotary Club of White Rock. (BC) She was inducted in 2004 and applied for membership in our e-club June 20, 2015. She is an Environmental Co-ordinator with BC Hydro. She is a supporter of Foundation and a PHS member and Foundation Benefactor. She attended the July Board meeting. and the July west Coast "pod" fellowship along with her husband, a past Rotarian.

IN THE LOUNGE OF THE DOUBLETREE HILTON HOTEL.
ATTENDING; ROSS AND DARLENE HALLETT, GUEST: PARIS VALDEZ , MANAGER OF THE LOUNGE. WE DISCUSSED ROTARY STUDENT EXCHANGE, E CLUB AND POD MEETINGS AND ATTRACTING MORE PEOPLE TO OUR POD MEETING. WE ARE GOING TO REQUEST THE HOTEL TO ANNOUNCE ON THE HOTEL BULLETIN BOARD THAT THE ROTARY CLUB MEETS IN THE LOUNGE EVERY THURSDAY AT 6 PM.

Paul Falvo and Biswanath Chakrabarty in Yellowknife, N.W.T.
Paul and Biswanath attended a meeting of our E-Club's Northern pod on Monday 17 August - we dined outdoors on food from the southern hemisphere. We talked about the advancement of Rotary - including Biswanath's work on distributing books, District conference, local terra clubs and future pod meetings.
We wish Veronica Stander a full recovery from her serious back injury sustained from a household accident.
