Due to the length of our Speaker Program we skip this segment of the meeting this week.

As you read this, Ramiro and I will be in Holland spending time with family and friends who we have not seen for quite a number of years.
My Mom recently celebrated her 90th Birthday, which we will celebrate with her at the same time we celebrate Ramiro’s birthday on May 27. (Yes he will donate a Happy Buck for this). It may very well be the last one for me to celebrate with my Mom, with Ramiro however, I hope to celebrate at least 30 more birthdays.
After the family visits we will head direction Portugal to attend our tenth International Convention.
So if you find the next few weekly meetings a bit thin on content, please understand, that I may be busy attending Terra Club meetings talking about our e-club, visiting with family or having a great time at the Convention, gathering information for you, and meeting with my Rotary friends.
I will also be busy as a panelist for one of the breakout sessions on the topic of E-clubs.
I hope to see some of you mid July.

In an effort to increase club fellowship and inter member discussion we have created a forum which all members are invited to test and be a part of. For the time being it can serve as a piece of our communication puzzle, until we complete a comprehensive online fellowship/engagement strategy and test out various other tools such as club runner 3.

New Members Corner Some say, that a Rotarian has not truly experienced Rotary until they have participate in or served on a Rotary project or attended a Rotary Conference. The latter is an experience difficult to describe. Hundreds of Rotarians from the entire District come together for fellowship, inspiring, educational and motivational speakers and educational breakout session and make many new friends.
The District 5370 Conference will be held October 4-5 in Edmonton.
Join us and meet our 2013-14 District Governor, Betty Screpnek, and spend some time with your fellow members.

Club leaders find they are more excited to lead their club after attending a District Conference or Rotary Convention as they bring back a lot of information and enthusiasm.
