November is Foundation Month

November is RI Foundation Month, I think of the Foundation as the RI Bank. If you donate to the general fund then after a 3 year period of growth by way of investment money comes back to Rotary Club's in District 5370. Remember that giving to "Polio Plus" is another avenue of support for the great works of the Foundation.

Financial support to Polio Plus in the present generates a a greater then original donation because of matching funds from other sources. ie Gates Foundation

I personally have committed to giving a yearly donation to the RI Foundation, I have being recognized by the District 5370 as a Member of the Paul Harris Society. My next $1000 dollar US donation will earn me a PH+6, after I reach my PH+10, I will earn the status of "Major Donor".

Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the RI Foundation and its other programs.

An Opportunity for Service

Many of us through out our lives have had mentors that have helped guide us down the path we have chosen.  These are generous,  caring individuals with experience and a positive outlook that are there to give us the occasional nudge as needed.
I have been very fortunate to have had many wonderful people in with life, business and Rotary wisdom that have helped me define my path over the years. A few of my very favourite mentors are in this club.
I have also been very fortunate to serve as a mentor from time to time in particular with Big Brothers and Big Sisiters , it has been a wonderful opportunity with positive outcomes too numerous to mention.
A wonderful opportunity to give back just a little.
Now, thanks to Bruce  Kleeberger, Sue Croft and the membership committee I have the privilege to help mentor new members to our club. It is amazing how just a few hours here and there can go so far in giving others a hand up and into our club. I see it as an opportunity to contribute just  a little time to others on our way  to building a much stronger  Rotary club. It is truly a Win-Win-Win!
Do you believe in Rotary, do you have a few hours here and there to help make a difference?
