Greeter this week: Sharon Werrett
Welcome Rotarians and Guests to the Rotary E-Club of Canada One.  As the wife of a dedicated Rotarian, David Werrett, I have been fortunate to participate in many Rotary functions and attend many meetings at different Clubs during our travels through Europe, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and here in Canada.  David has maintained perfect attendance for 20 years.
Sometimes travel itineraries have been dictated by the necessity of finding a Rotary Meeting close to our next destination. Rotary has given us the opportunity to visit many Clubs  and find out what’s important to them, meet new people, make new friends and find out about their communities from local people.
During our travels in Europe we were based out of Great Britain and took the opportunity to join the British based International Caravanning (RVing or camping) Fellowship of Rotarians.  We enjoyed the fellowship of many members on the Rallies in Britain, the Barcelona International Convention Rally in 2002 and the  South African Rally in 2011, all organized by members of this group.  Many valued friendships have been made through this fellowship.  In 2006 we hosted 21 British Rotarian couples showing them some of Western Canada on a 5 week touring Rally.    Rotary E-Clubs make it easier to fit the weekly meeting into busy schedules, but most importantly, it is keeping you connected with other Rotarians that share your own interests and an opportunity to share what is important to each of you in your mutual world of Rotary.  Rotary gives you the opportunity to make a difference in today’s world.  Take the opportunity to stay connected and enjoy your meeting!

Let’s hear from our Guests
Each week we receive comments from guests and Prospective members, who attend our e-meetings. We like to share some of these comments with you.

“I really enjoyed the Dove video and the 'I am Canadian' video. The speaker was entertaining and knowledgeaqble, and I found the whole program thought provoking. I am going to suggest using the "I am Canadian' video at one of our club meetings.”
Natalie Zigarlick, Royal City Rotary – D5040

“I liked the idea of the online meeting following a format similar to a regular meeting. I liked the many versions played of O'Canada”
Roger Cooke, RC of Smiths Falls - D7040

Holland is about much more than cheese
While visiting Holland, my birth country, I was reminded what a beautiful country it is. It fits 13 times inside the province of Alberta, yet has over 16 million people. There is more green space, rivers and canals than any other country I have ever seen.
Enjoy MY Holland
