District 5370 Conference
Hello District 5370 Rotarians
We are in the final run to the finish line for registration for our 2015 District Conference. Our conference team, led by Maxine and Dale Campbell, have done an amazing job of putting together a program that we believe will appeal to everyone. Sally and I have attended about 21 district conferences and we believe that this one will rank amongst the best of them. This could not have happened without the dedication and hard work of the entire conference team.
We are positive that this district conference will energize your Rotary commitment as we have a lineup of incredible and inspirational speakers. You will have the opportunity to meet fellow Rotarians from all over our district and the world. Come and learn about your What If? and how you can "Be A Gift to the World".

Chris Langley just returned from a trip to Europe...
"To the left is Aragon, then Ida, the daughter of Monica and Eric, then Stef, then Sune, then Chris, then Eric and finally but certainly not least, Monica. Missing in this image is their son Bjorn.
Monica and I have been penfriends since we were 10/11 years old. Eric is Chief Engineer on big ships. Some of you may remember the sinking of the cruise ship Sundancer in 1984, when she hit rocks near Campbell river and sunk in Campbell River Harbour? Eric was Chief on her then. I first physically met Monica and Eric when I was single and holidayed with them in Norway and Sweden in 1980. We saw them again in 1984 as they were both on Sundancer and since then we have met up intermittently, especially with Eric whenever he came into Vancouver or Seattle with his ship, for holidays in 2006 with AJ and again this year. Ida has been to Vancouver once with a friend and she and Bjorn came to Alex's wedding in 20011. Alex visited them in Sweden in 2004. These good people are like brother and sister to me, their kids my niece and nephew..."
