Dolly Parton believes that if you can read, you can do anything, dream anything, and be anything! The Rotary E-Club of Canada One is making Dolly's dream come true! Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and the Rotary E-Club of Canada One put books into the hands of children in seven arctic communities. Through unique partnerships, the Dollywood Foundation provides specially selected, high quality books each month to registered children. These books are personalized with each child's name and mailed directly to their homes.
Throughout Canada, the Dollywood Foundation works with other Rotary Clubs to help fund and administer this early literacy program too. The Canadian team, Angie Harris, Regional Director BC, AB, SK, NT YK PC, PEI, NS, NB NL, Karyn Davis Regional Director MB, and Jeanne Smitiuch, Regional Director, ON would be happy to share more information and help other communities in their areas to send books to children.
Together, we are making a difference, inspiring a love of reading and reducing the literacy gap in the early years. With your support, parents are able to engage their children in the most fundamental skill necessary to succeed in life.

Surprised to watch the Youtube story on Seeing the sky with radio eyes and there was a photo of the Parkes observatory that we visited on our tour of Australia in 2009. The program helped me understand better the work that the Parkes observatory is doing.
