Lunchtime Club Meeting @ Ulysses
Sep. 17, 2026 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

September is Basic Education & Literacy Month

Meeting details

NB The Legion is hosting its annual Silent Auction fundraiser this week so we will be meeting at Ulysses- registration details below

Program speaker: Club Business

Happy Bucks: Northstar Church Community Meals Programme

Fine Sergeant: To be determined

Lunch

As the Legion is running its annual Silent Auction in the hall September 14-25, we will be holding our September 17 meeting at Ulysses, in the upstairs side room (no meeting September 24 - come to the Special O evening instead!).

They only have so much room so it is essential you let me know if you will be coming and whether or not you will be bringing a guest.

It will also be immensely helpful if you can select what you want for lunch so that the kitchen can be prepared, thereby also saving you a long wait. Of course you can have whatever you want, but choosing from one of these options when we met there last year resulted in pretty much everyone eating at the same time (ordering when you arrive will likely put you at the back of the line, kitchen-wise):

- Spanakopita $17.95
- Lasagna $20.95
- Chicken Souvlaki $22.95
- Fettuccine Alfredo $17.95

Cut-off will be 28 and 6pm Sep 15 so, first off, let me know if you plan to attend and if bringing a guest.
Then, by cut-off, let me know what you will be eating or if you’ll be taking your chances.
Perfectly acceptable to attend without eating but I still need to know so as to make sure you have a seat…otherwise you could end up helping serve lunch!

No Meeting Fee that day but we will do Scam Game, Fine Sergeant, and Happy Bucks. The program will be Club Business, ie decisions coming out of the Board meeting; since Terry Fox is on the following Sunday, maybe some last minute stuff relating to that.

🎉 You Are Invited! ðŸŽ‰

🎉 Let’s Welcome Back Our Amazing Athletes! 🎉

Rotary + Quesnel Special Olympics

= One Unforgettable Night!

Hi all!!

As many of you will recall, last year in the spirit of building a stronger, inclusive community Rotary of Quesnel chose to host a Welcome Back evening for our Quesnel Special Olympic Athletes.

This wonderful evening provides Rotarians and Athletes an opportunity to mingle, connect and get to know one another, creating new friendships for both.

This evening also provides an opportunity for our Special Olympics community to register for their events for the following season.

This year, our pizza dinner will be held Thursday, September 24 at 5:00pm. Northstar Church has graciously offered us the use of their space.

Volunteers are required:

  • to help run games such as corn hole, mini golf putting and giant Jenga! (If you have a large game you can loan for the evening please let me know)
  • to act as greeters
  • table hosts
  • planning committee
  • set up and or take down

Cost $10.00 per Rotarian or guest

Opportunity to be a table sponsor: $50.00

Registrations and e-transfers can be sent to taniamilliken@telus.net

Looking forward to seeing you there!

For us, the answer is simple. We're thankful for YOU!
The community that we are so proud to serve.
The supporters that attend our events.
The businesses that continue to give back.
The volunteers.

To show our appreciation for your continued support of the work we do, we have a gift for you and your family.

Join us at the Quesnel & District Arts & Recreation Centre on October 10th, from 1pm to 4pm, and receive your pool admission for FREE!

We can't wait to see you there 💦🤿
