FEB 07, 2022 SALUTE THE TROOPS MEETING

Good Day Rotarians,

Your help is needed to make this annual event a success. This year's Salute the Troops concert is schedule to be held outside in the bandshell at the Bethlehem Rose Garden on Sunday May 22 at 3:00pm. The event will be one of the club's only fundraiser during the 2021-2022 Rotary year.

Positive Peace in Our Communities - Showcase Tuesday 2/8/2022

DG Bob Hobaugh invites everyone to join Showcase Tuesday - February 8, 2022, at 7:00pm for inspiring talks on Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention with Marty Peak Helman and Charlie Allen. Marty chairs The Rotary Foundation's Peace-Major Gifts Initiative and will serve as a Trustee for the Foundation. She will present an update on Rotary Peace Centers where Peace Scholars learn to become Peace Fellows. Charlie is a Peace Fellow, chairs the Peace Academy of the Institute for Economics & Peace, and is the liaison between Rotary and IEP. He will tell us how Rotarians can implement positive peace in our communities.

Rotary Peace Fellowship
The 2023 Rotary Peace Fellowship application is now available, and we need your help finding the next cohort of global peace and development leaders.

Promoting peace is one of Rotary’s main causes. The fully funded Rotary Peace Fellowship, which covers tuition and living expenses, increases the capacity of existing leaders to prevent and resolve conflict by offering academic training, field
experience, and professional networking.

Up to 130 fellows are selected every year in a globally competitive process based on personal, academic, and professional achievements. Fellows earn either a master’s degree or a post-graduate diploma in peace and development studies at one of the seven Rotary Peace Centers, located at leading universities around the world.

These resources can help recruit candidates for 2023 Rotary Peace Fellowships:

Take the All About the Rotary Peace Fellowships course to learn about qualification requirements, eligibility restrictions, the application process, and more.

Use RI's referral form for potential candidates.

Candidates have until 15 May to submit applications to The Rotary Foundation. Trained Rotary endorsers have until 1 July to submit endorsed applications to The Rotary Foundation.
