Who Are We?

Our March 13th meeting will be a special gathering to better define the identity of Whyte Avenue Rotary.

This is the first step in a series of strategic planning initiatives to better focus our efforts and optimize our impact in the community.

Please attend and add your voice to this critically important discussion.

Weekly Brain Teaser

Here is the first of our weekly brain teasers, shared at our meeting and offered here for your consideration and entertainment:

Arrange five cups or glasses on a table, three in a vertical line and then two horizontally to the right, forming an L shape.

The three cups lined up vertically each have some juice (or any liquid) in them, and the other two are empty.

The objective is to rearrange this set so that every other cup has juice. So, from top to bottom, and then from bottom left to right, it should go juice… empty… juice … empty… juice.

The rule is, you can touch or move only one cup.

Jasper Fellowship Weekend - Mar. 16-17

Our fellowship weekend is just around the corner.

Join in the festivities with your fellow Whyte Avenue Rotarians at a legendary Rocky Mountain destination.

Ski, snowboard, cross-country, snowshoe, hike, bike, hot-tub or just chalet the weekend away in the best of company.

This family event is the perfect way to enjoy the splendor of Canada's winter playground and get closer to the people in our club.

Rotary On Parade

Last Tuesday, Tatiana Naranjo from the Old Scona Interact Club presented us with a concept to help raise awareness and demonstrate the inclusive spirit of Rotary.

Edmonton's annual Pride Parade is a big event on Whyte Ave and an opportunity for everyone to show support for our LGBTQ community. The Old Scona Interact Club has invited us to partner with them and other clubs to be a visible part of the celebrations on Saturday, June 9th.

Applications are due by the end of the month and the students are already working to meet the March 31st deadline.

Watch for more information as plans are finalized.
