Greetings Everyone,       

Some sad news this week as we remembered long time Rotary member Harry A Koch Jr. who passed away on Sunday.  A Past President and great member of our club for nearly 65 years. He was a well respected business leader in Omaha.  We will miss him!
 

Great presentation this week by Gina Ligon UNO associate professor on the anti-terrorism work they are doing right here in the heartland to help fight the terrorist network around the world.  The work Gina is leading with her research and the work of some great students for the Department of Defense is amazing.  They have been able to apply business modeling tools  to the different areas of  terrorist groups to help identify strengths and weaknesses and develop groundbreaking strategies to combat their efforts.   Great work Gina and great work Cella for another outstanding and informative program.
 

I had the privilege to award and congratulate Brad vonGillern for achieving his Paul Harris +3.  Thank you and great work in your dedication to Rotary.  Let's all follow Brad's example in giving to Rotary International this year.  Please consider a gift in any amount before the end of our Rotary year and help us reach our goal of having 100% participation from our club members in giving this year.  It is easy and we can take care of the donation at the registration table next week.
