International Projects
The Rotary E-Club of Fort Worth International has been involved in several international projects including:
- Providing $3,000 worth of medical equipment and installing a generator at the Immaculate Heart Hospital in Urualla, Nigeria.
- Raising $1,000 to purchase a Shelter Box to help people rebuild their lives in the aftermath of a disaster. The Shelter Box typically contains a disaster relief tent for a family, thermal blankets and groundsheets, water storage and purification equipment, solar lamps, cooking utensils, a basic tool kit, mosquito nets and a children’s activity pack.
- Lending support for the LivingStone University in Mbale, Uganda.
- Working with the Liberation Community to teach families in China how to grow their own gardens to enhance their food supply.
- Helping build a dam and plant trees in the Philippines.
- Drilling water wells in Ghana.
- Donating health care supplies to a hospital in Nigeria.
- Supporting Dr. Valentin Gracia in his Sonrisa Alegre (Happy Smile) program. Dr. Gracia volunteers his plastic surgeon skills in Mexico to operate on children with cleft palates and other children who, for whatever reason, are not able to smile.
