Calling all Bike Riders

Join Rotary members and their friends from Rotary District 5790 by PEDALING FOR POLIO on October 26! Bike Riders Needed!

On Sunday, October 26, we will hold a district-wide polio fundraiser, Pedaling for Polio.

NOTE: If you can't make this date or don't ride a bike, you can still participate! Read More.

Our Club is one of the teams for the Cross Timbers Duck Derby. The Duck Derby will be held on Saturday, September 20th from 10-2 in Flower Mound. 30,000 rubber ducks will be released into the river to race - with prizes for the 1st 10 winners. There will be vendors, music and activities. You do not need to be present to win.

For each duck that our Club sells, we will receive a Buck-A-Duck. Please consider adopting a duck or two. Reach out to family and friends. Encourage them to buy ducks. The monies we receive will be used to fund our projects.

Members give dictionaries to 3rd-grade students at Van Zandt-Guinn ES

The Rotary Club of Fort Worth International provided each 3rd-grade student at Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary School with their own dictionary.

Members gave each student a new dictionary and then provided the class with a short lesson in how to use a dictionary.

IL Texas Saginaw High School Interact Club Thriving

Club leadership attended the October 6th meeting of the IL Texas Saginaw High School Interact Club

In addition to listening to the Interact Club meeting reports, our team and the Interact Club members heard a presentation from Club President Debbie Morton.

The Rotary Club of Fort Worth International sponsors the IL Texas Saginaw High School in Keller TX.

We had a wonderful meeting yesterday at IL Texas NRH.

Members were present to hand out dictionaries to about 130 third-grade students.

Rachel Moon, the IL principal and member, treated us to a lasagna lunch from Olive Garden. Thank you, Rachel.

Trinity McCree, Interact Club President, graduates

Our sponsored High School, International Leadership of Texas High School, had its graduation ceremony May 20th.

Our Club President, Bill Sanner, sat on the front row of the balcony. It was a beautiful service, and two of our own, Dr. Jared Smith, Principal, and Trinity McCree, Interact Club President, were front and center of the activities. Of course, Jared, being the Principal of the school, was a major speaker. His incredibly emotional speech was just what this terrific group of students needed to hear, but he successfully controlled his emotions by not breaking down in tears during his speech. Club President Bill Sanner thought his chest would explode from pride. Congratulations, Jared, for a job well done! These terrific young people love you right back.

Interact Club leaders speak at May 5th Meeting

Club leaders from the ILT-Keller Interact Club provided an update on their club's activities this past year.

The Interact Club that Fort Worth International Rotary Club sponsors provided a presentation on their projects during their first semester as a club. They have volunteered at Mayfest, provided dictionaries to 3rd graders, participated in the 4-Way Test Speech Contest, and visited Hope Farm. These leaders are our future!!

RCFWI members to deliver more dictionaries May 5th

Members to provide dictionaries to 3rd graders at International Leadership of Texas, North Richland Hills K8.

Earlier in April, we provided dictionaries for all the 3rd graders at Briscoe Elementary School. On May 5th, members will be delivering dictionaries to the third graders at International Leadership of Texas in North Richland Hills.

Trinity McCree of International Leadership of Texas High School wins 4 way Test Speech Contest.

Our Fort Worth International Rotary Club is exceptional for a number of reasons.

Not the least of which is our involvement in the lives of young people through RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards), but even more so through our involvement and founding of the Interact Club at International Leadership of Texas High School. Also, we conducted our own 4 Way Test Speech Contest (which we conducted at the school) from among the Interact Club Members, The Winner of our contest, Trinity McCree, won $100 from our Rotary Club and is now moving forward into the regional competition. There have been two regional competitions so far with the last one happening on this coming Saturday. Our young lady will be participating in this competition at Kennedale High School. Ms. Martinez (our Interact Club sponsor teacher) and our club president, Bill Sanner, will be there to support her quest.

Rotary Club of Fort Worth International gives Dictionaries to 3rd graders at local school

Our Rotary Club members delivered dictionaries to Briscoe Elementary School.

This is one of our favorite community projects. In this photo, our team is giving dictionaries to this school's 3rd graders. The students each receive a new dictionary of their own that many will keep through college. Members provide each class with a short lesson in how to use a dictionary. We ask them to look up the word rotary, and then explain how the original Rotary club leaders decided to use the word Rotary for our club name.

Rotary Club of Fort Worth International to Host 4 Way Test Speech Contest.

The contest will be held for high school students from the International Leadership Academy.

The contest will be held at our regular meeting on Monday, March 3. We are hoping to hold the contest at the school.
