After 20+ years on staff at a local church leading compassion services locally and globally, in August of 2023 Brian joined Mansfield Mission Center as the executive director. MMC works with a network of volunteer organizations, corporations, and churches to serve the greater Mansfield area providing care of families in need. Through medical care, food subsidy, and wrap around services, MMC empowers people with essential resources and fosters their independence. Brian continues to serve on several global boards fighting poverty around the world and envisions Mansfield to be a community that cares for its neighbors. Brian and his wife, Sheryl have lived in the Mansfield area for 24 years and have two adult children, one amazing grandson, and a Golden Retriever named Jax. |

Mansfield Cares was established in 1999 by a group of people who were interested in helping those in need here in Mansfield. Mansfield Cares works closely with Mansfield ISD and Common Ground Network (organization that is comprised of local churches and service organizations that help those in need in Mansfield). Mansfield Cares supports many programs. Some of the programs are: Back to School Bash shoe donations Helping Hands Program Grocery cards from Kroger (Angel Tree) MISD Scholarships Feed the Kids for Summer Program Food Pantries
In addition, Mansfield Cares, in 2009, built and ran a free medical/dental and ophthalmological clinic on Broad Street. In 2019, Mansfield cares gifted the medical building and surrounding land to the Mansfield Mission Center. Mansfield Cares also constructed a building for use by the Mansfield food bank, Harvesting In Mansfield. Mansfield cares operates through donations and three fundraisers a year—the annual Gala (February), Casino Event (August) and Wine Tasting Event (November). To date, Mansfield Cares has raised and donated over $3,000,000 to the Mansfield community. |
