Happy Saturday!
It has already been a very busy July, and we are not even halfway through. Canada Day was a wet one, but the club made the most of the dry stretch and had some great conversations with people in the community, especially several brand-new Canadians.
North America may be out of the World Cup, but Norway versus England later today should still be a good one. Closer to home, the Ottawa Charge are officially moving in with the Senators at Canadian Tire Centre, which is pretty exciting for our neck of the woods.
It also seems like half the club is on the move this summer, which makes it an interesting time of year for meetings and getting things done. Dwight is working on his swing in Calgary, Simon is heading to Hawaii to see the grandkids, and I’ll soon be setting off on a cross-Canada drive to Banff, the Yukon, Vancouver Island, and back.
Needless to say, we are all making the most of summer, but I think we are also looking forward to being back together for the August 22 social at Amy’s house. (Thanks again for hosting us Amy!)
Until then, stay safe, enjoy the summer, and wear your SPF. Here are this week’s news and notes.
