International Service

Rotary District 7490 International Service

Under the leadership of District Governor John Susani, Rotary District 7490 has established an International Service Committee and Governor John Cosgrove continues to support the committee.

The four goals of the committee are as follows:

  1. Find - We will help all clubs, no matter their size, find, start or join international projects that pique their interest. These projects may originate with the Clubs, District and Rotary international.
  2. Facilitate - We will help club members formulate and develop their project, from start to finish.
  3. Promote - The committee will help you share your project within our district and promote the idea of international projects so that smaller clubs can join in international service.
  4. Train - We will provide information for club members to help them apply for grants and to keep their project advancing.

WHAT IS A DISTRICT INTERNATIONAL SERVICE PROJECT?

  • Must have a Rotary host club in another country as a partner
  • Fit into one of Rotary International seven areas of focus: Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution, Disease Prevention and Treatment, Water and Sanitation, Maternal and Child Health, Basic Education and Literacy, Economic and Community Development and Support the Environment
  • Must be a sustainable project
  • Participation with other Clubs in the District recommended

We encourage clubs within the district to look for ideas for your own projects and post on this website to partner with other clubs in our district.

To get an idea of some completed district projects, you can review the 2 planned projects posted on the top left-hand side of this page.

Projects available in the section Page Download Files are provided as a suggestion only. These projects are available now and are looking for District 7490 partners.
