You can now apply for your mail-in ballot for the referendum on October 19 from Elections Alberta until September 25, 2026. Ballots must be returned by mail before 5:00pm on October 16, 2026.

The Rotary Club of Fort St. John Sunrise is hosting Oktoberfest on September 19 at the Fort St. John Curling Club. The evening will feature dinner, Northern B.C. breweries, live DJ entertainment, traditional Oktoberfest games and activities, a costume contest, door prizes and more, with proceeds supporting 4U Youth and its work with young people in our community.
They are looking for volunteers to be at each location and hand out 'shopping lists' as well as help sort food at the firehall this year 10 am-6pm September 19th 2026.
St. Albert Recognized as an International City of Peace
St. Albert has officially been recognized as an International City of Peace, joining a global network of communities committed to building a culture of peace.
The Rotary Club of St. Albert Peace Action Group was honoured to facilitate the community-led application process, which was endorsed by St. Albert City Council. Formal support was also provided by the St. Albert Host Lions Club, Order of Eagles, African and African Descendants Friendship Club, St. Albert and District Chamber of Commerce, and St. Albert Food Bank and Community Village.
This recognition belongs to our entire community and builds on the work already underway to strengthen connection, belonging and peace. Learn more about St. Albert’s International City of Peace designation.
