Great program on Energy Efficiency Legislation
President Cass got us going (in a different room!) and the singing wasn't half bad this week. We had some nice guests (hi Clarence) as well a good crowd of Lunatics. Then the meeting announcements (check the website), got going. Craig won the trivia contest from the eBulletin (you need to read to win). The first District assembly will be this weekend and it sounded like we had a huge group going to hear about all the new things coming up for Rotary in the new year. Susan talked about her cruise vacation to Mexico that included a stop off and side trip to Project Amigo. Besides seeing all the fun going on there, she said the volcano behind the town was spouting off! Susan also provided some excitement when she tripped over Cass's "seeing eye" dog Tillie. Thank goodness she didn't spill any wine! Cass announced that the Interacters were having a Bands and Hands benefit this weekend with funds being raised for LN-4 hands. For happy dollars, Sheriff Vinnie got going and after all the great stories from everyone, (I think the topper was Petra's announcement about her nephew's new job and the amount of money she said he is making that was more than most of the people in the room combined!) all the Happy Dollars raised were designated for LN-4 hands. Good Job Lunatics!! Lastly, we will have a big work day this coming Saturday (March 27) at 9:00 at the Fairgrounds to build out the shade structure. See Joe for details. Our program was from Jim Gragg (from Granite Bay Rotary) on recent legislation on Energy Efficiency (like AB811 and others). There sounds like a lot of opportunities for people to make changes to their homes and businesses.
