Jay Thomas Gerber (June 5, 1943 – April 20, 2013)

Jay made the Davis community a better place. Highlights of his generosity to the community include serving as president of the Davis Rotary Clubs and Chamber of Commerce, coaching Little League, establishing the University Retirement Community Foundation, serving on numerous city and county commissions, and volunteering with his church. He had an unfailing ability to bring people together. This award was established to honor his legacy through those who embody his values and generosity.

Davis Sunrise Rotary established the Jay Gerber Young Community Leader Award to recognize and honor a young leader who demonstrates characteristics that build a better Davis community.
