PROGRAM

Jen Boschken, Paralegal, and Alvina Tzang, Deputy DA were here to give us a quick inservice on avoiding real estate fraud. As Paul Nelson so aptly put " If it sounds to good to be true..., then it probably is."
There is a Real Estate Fraud Unit in Yolo County that can help you if you feel you have been a victim.   Attacking real estate crimes and other white collar criminal activity is one of the high priorities contained within the White Collar Crime Unit. The office of the DA has jurisdiction to review any case if the property is located in Yolo County.   These Crimes can be, but not limited to, Rental Fraud Scams, Filing False Documents and Forclosure Rescue Scams.
A useful pamphlet with Simple Tips to Avoid Real Estate Crimes and How to Report Suspected Real Estate Fraud was given to those attending the presentation.
