Cambridge Area Rotary is proud to participate in the Rotary District High School Speech Contest. The purpose is to help youth, community and Rotarians to understand, encourage and foster the principles and values of Rotary. Principles like "Service Above Self"; The 4-Way Test *; and the annual theme of Rotary International are used for speech topics. Each year the Cambridge Area Rotary holds a Ski, Ride & Winter Sports Sale to help raise money for a WINTER WELLNESS program. This program provides the financial support to send all of the 4th, 5th and 6th grade students at the Cambridge Elementary school to Smugglers Notch Resort to partake in outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. We cover the cost of transportation, lift tickets, lessons and equipment rentals. The sale also helps to provide access to reasonably priced winter sports equipment so that individuals and families can enjoy being outside and experience the wonders of a Vermont winter. All of the Rotarians, teachers and students thank you for supporting our event!
The news about Ukraine can be overwhelming as well as confusing. The Cambridge Area Rotary was honored to sponsor an opportunity to learn more about Ukraine from a personal point of view and the political history between Ukraine and Russia that brought us to where we are today. Residents and friends joined us either by Zoom or in person on Friday, April 1 at 7:00pm at the Second Congregational Church in Jeffersonville for this special presentation.

Bunco (also spelled bunko or bonko) is a dice game generally played with twelve or more players, divided into groups of four, trying to score points while taking turns rolling three dice in a series of six rounds. A bunco is achieved when a person rolls three-of-a-kind and all three numbers match the round number.
