Share the Joy of Rotary!

Our club thrives on the passion and dedication of members like you, and I know you have experienced the incredible joy and fulfillment that comes with being a part of Rotary. Now's the perfect time to think about friends, family, and colleagues who might also find a home in our Rotary family.

Who do you know that embodies "Service Above Self"? Who's looking for a way to connect with like-minded individuals and make a real difference in our community and beyond?

We are looking to add new members. Click here to download a worksheet where you can write down the names of at least three people that you can invite to learn more about Rotary and bring the list next Wednesday. We will spend some time discussing an exciting change the Board approved at our last meeting.

Late Breaking Update:   the club added our 1st new member of the year, Angela Burton, this week!    She joined our "Action Club,"  formerly know as the Satellite Club, because she works in KC and will not be able to make our Wednesday meetings but is very interested in helping with our service projects.   Stop by the "Christmas in July Beer Crawl" this Saturday to meet Angela or stop by the Plaza on the 1st Saturday of the month for the "Saturday Coffee Walkers" group which Angela created!

See you Wednesday,

Reed

Foundation Committee Update:   At the last  Board meeting it was decided to set the goal for club Polio donations at $3,000.  Members can go to RI.org and send donations directly.  You can also send your check to the Rotary Club of Liberty at 100 W Franklin St Liberty MO 64068.  We have also set up a donation campaign on the club website where you can use your credit card, click on the EndPolioNow logo to the left to access.  October Happy dollars are also set to go toward the Polio campaign.  In the past we have participated in the District's Purple Pinkie fundraiser but it will not be in Oct this year and we do not at this time have Information on when it will be scheduled.

Service Pop-Up Project:  "Kits for Kids"
KITS FOR KIDS IS BACK

Children living in poverty often go back to school without the basic items needed to help them manage proper hygiene.

When we asked kids, "what do you need for back-to-school," they said they wanted to "look good" and "smell good." That is why we work with local school districts and area churches to provide low-income families with pre-assembled hygiene kits at the start of each school year.  And the items aren’t those tiny, hotel size products. They are full sized hygiene items.
