Fellow Rotarians

*We have an exciting speaker this week, Sheriff Will Akin, who will be updating us on what's happening in the Clay County Sheriff's department.

* Our next service opportunity will be on June 21st for Make Music Day.  It is a very easy gig, you welcome people to the plaza, coordinate the performers, keep the bathroom available, and enjoy the music!   Click here to sign up as a  Plaza Host for the event.   Our line-up of performers includes:  Bill Stilfield & Laura Barge, Heidi Meadows, Doctor Troubadour, KC Music Girls Meetup, and  Djembe Djanes & Djims(interactive drum circle-great way to work out).  Something for everyone!

*  Add June 29th to your calendar!  It will be our "5th Wednesday" social and officer installation and will be held at Rotary Plaza starting at 5:30pm.   Planning is still underway for the event but food, beverage, entertainment will be provided.

See you this week !!

Every Rotarian Every Year Initiative
Your gift to the Annual Fund helps Rotary clubs take action today to create positive change in communities at home and around the world.
Your contributions help us strengthen peace efforts, provide clean water and sanitation, support education, grow local economies, save mothers and children, protect the environment, and fight disease.

The Every Rotarian Every Year initiative asks every Rotarian to support The Rotary Foundation every year. In addition to contributing to the Annual Fund on a regular basis, members are encouraged to get involved in a Foundation project or program.

Club Scholarships
Each year the Scholarship Committee of the Liberty Rotary Club is tasked with finding students in Liberty Public Schools who exemplify Rotary ideals. Through essays and interviews, the committee looks for students who are committed to serving others, promote integrity, and are leaders in their school and community. The Liberty Rotary Club’s largest event, the Butt Buster Barbecue, funds the clubs investment in local youth. This includes the $22,500 that is awarded to three top Liberty School District Seniors.
